What HookaDex is

HookaDex is a community information platform. The core content — reviews, ratings, mixes, notes — is created by users. Scores and rankings reflect the personal impressions of specific people, not the position of HookaDex.

We don't guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or currency of catalog data or user content, and we are not responsible for decisions made based on them.

We sell nothing and advertise nothing

The site exists so the community can share reviews and ratings. It is not used for advertising, marketing, or sales promotion of tobacco products or related goods.

Nothing on the site is an offer to buy or sell anything. We don't sell tobacco products, hold no licenses to trade in them, host no paid brand placements, and receive no compensation from manufacturers for scores, descriptions, or ranking positions.

Brands, flavors, and venues are mentioned solely to identify the subject of a review. Trademarks belong to their owners.

Age 18+

Only people aged 18 or older (or older where your country sets a higher age of majority) may use HookaDex. By using the site you represent that you meet this requirement.

We ask you to reconfirm your age periodically and store only the confirmation timestamp — we never ask for or store your date of birth. Accounts of minors are blocked as soon as they are discovered.

Your account

Participating in the community requires an account — sign up with email or Google. Provide accurate details, keep your password secret, and don't hand your account to others: you are responsible for everything that happens under it.

One person — one account. Extra accounts for inflating ratings or evading bans are forbidden.

Your content

Everything you publish — reviews, mixes, photos, notes — remains yours. By publishing, you grant HookaDex a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content as part of operating the platform: on site pages, in feeds, collections, aggregate ratings, recommendations, and the platform's own announcements.

The license lasts while the content is published on HookaDex, and after deletion only to the extent needed for backups, security, and legal compliance. Anonymized ratings remain part of aggregate scores after account deletion.

Every review expresses its author's position, not HookaDex's. You are responsible for what you publish, including the accuracy of factual claims about brands and venues.

Review integrity

Reviews and ratings must be based on your own real experience. Fabricated or paid reviews, brand or shop representatives rating their own products, hidden affiliations, coordinated campaigns to inflate or deflate ratings, and retaliatory ratings are all forbidden.

A negative but civil review is fine: brands and venues cannot demand removal of a review merely for a low score. Details are in the Community Guidelines.

Prohibited use

• content that violates the law, other people's rights, or the Community Guidelines;
• spam, intrusive self-promotion, links to tobacco sales;
• impersonating another person or a brand representative without authority;
• automated data harvesting (scraping), circumventing technical restrictions, interfering with the service;
• evading bans, including registering new accounts after a ban.

Moderation

We are not obliged to pre-screen content, but we may hide, remove, or restrict the visibility of content that violates these terms or the Community Guidelines.

Measures are proportionate to the violation: from content removal and a warning to a temporary restriction or a permanent account ban. We notify you of significant measures via notifications; if you believe a decision is wrong, write to us and we will review it.

Catalog and third-party data

The catalog of brands, lines, and flavors is maintained by the community and moderators, so it may contain inaccuracies. Spotted an error — let us know.

Some venue data (including reviews from Google Maps) is imported from public sources and labeled accordingly; it does not affect HookaDex community ratings.

Health

Smoking harms your health. HookaDex content is information and the community's personal impressions — not encouragement to smoke and not medical advice.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is": we don't guarantee uninterrupted operation, freedom from errors, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the site.

Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under the law of your country.

Termination

You may stop using the service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a material or repeated breach of these terms — following the procedure in the Moderation section.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will announce material changes in advance on the site or by email, with an effective date; changes are never retroactive. If you disagree — stop using the service before that date; continued use means acceptance.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the law of Ukraine, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence.
